About Us
Founded in
1987, the Modesto Ballroom Dance Club (BDC), which currently has more than 150
members, sponsors two ballroom dances per month. Dances occur on the first
Saturday and third Friday of most months from 8:00pm to 11:00pm. The
Modesto Ballroom Dance Club dance hall is located at 211 Bodem Dr (Scenic and Bodem). We currently have a “big
band” on the 1st Saturday of the month and play recorded music on the
3rd Friday of the month. There is a wide variety of ballroom music
(swing, foxtrot, waltz, rumba, cha-cha, tango, and more) and a large dance floor
to enjoy yourself. We encourage dancers of all levels to come join us in
enjoying an evening of dancing. Admission is $7 for members and $10 for non-members.
We also offer a $2 discount for any Senior 60
and over and any student of any age with a valid school ID.
For
those interested, dance lessons are also offered by “You Can Dance Company” before each
dance from 7:00 – 8:00pm and is included in the admission cost.
Our dances welcome and
encourage anyone age 16 and over who has an interest in Ballroom
Dancing, however, we do extend an invitation to anyone under the
age of 16 who has Ballroom Dancing experience and has the
ability to follow proper floor etiquette to join us at any of
our dances. Youth under the age of 16 must be accompanied by
a parent or guardian.

Friday, September 17, 2010.
Modesto Ballroom Club Showcase - Our 2nd Ballroom Showcase
was recently held at the Double Tree Hotel in Modesto on August 7, 2010.
Approximately 20 separate ballroom dance routines were performed
for the entertainment pleasure of those who attended. This
was a wonderful event that was well received by those
present. For those that may have been in attendance at
